I'll be riding it out at home. I'll send the kids to grandma's house- their house has hurricane straps rated for a Cat4, so I feel safe taking the kids there. But me, Shannon and the older boys will be at the house.

But... Jennie- if we lose power for an extended period, we may head your direction

Don't forget the CB's! I know they have limited coverage, but they will work when phones go down. Everyone stay safe, and don't go playin' in the low water crossings cuz you lifted & think you can Twisted Evil . Good vibes to all!

Call Shannon- she needs help! I'm stuck at working (and will be working late tonight). So she's been dealing with everything herself, on the verge of a nervous breakdown. On top of that she got attacked by a bunch of wasps in the process (4 or 5 stings on her lower back), and then she went to move a flower pot and discovered (too late) it was full of fire ants which promptly bit the shit out of her hand, arm and wrist.

Good idea, my number is ...., I'll delete it in the next few days before google holds on to it. I'm right on the east edge of downtown. Still getting prepared, about to go buy a sump pump (my place floods almost every time it rains). Just got done helping the hippie neighbors to pick up al their ^%^$#^$ -- we're talking chairs, tables, a desk on the front porch. GRRR.

Ok, Hurricane IKE preperation has been rather cruel to me today! Sad I got stung by wasp and my lower back is stiff and burning and on top of that I think I pulled my back out because it is hard to walk. GRRRR Then those stupid ANTS attack my hand and arm and cause me alot more pain Sad Oh and I cut my hand all before that on something in the back yard I was trying to move. I give up. I think I got everything squared away outside and enough water and supplies and that's all I'm doing. I'm done!!!!!! I need a friken HUG!!!!

Sorry man... I haven't even checked my messages- it has been hell-busy today at work. Today would have been an extremely busy day if no hurricane. But because of the hurricane we contacted clients and told them we are closing tomorrow. So all hell broke lose with everyone suddenly faced with deadlines. And then Fedex moved our last pickup from 8 pm back to 3:30 pm. So now we have one of our employees that is going to drive packages (tonight) to San Antonio so they can be picked up tomorrow and delivered Saturday. SHEESH... Fun day at work, and its still not over.
