Ok, God only knows when BFG will have the 35" KM2's (in 17) out of national backorder. So, now I'm exploring other ideas.

I've decided that I will go with a 35" tire (w/37's I'd want/need to regear and add fenders that I don't really like). And I would like to explore the possiblity of using 35/10.5/17. The would be about the same width of the stock Rubi tires but 35" tall.

So the debate in my head is should I go with 10.5 or 12.5 width. I kinda like the tall skinny look (but not sure about how the look on a JK). I wouldn't mind looking different, just not sure if it would look good.

1st of all...could anyone tell me what to expect as far as the ride/handling/noise would be with these tires?

and 2nd...the pro's and con's of going with a skinnier tire when used off road

I was set on KM2's..but now just don't know what to get in its place.

Another option could be to just stick with tires i have (big lift/little tires) and upgrade the axles instead. But I'm kinda tired of my ride looking a little fugly...starting to get jealous of Jody's and Steve's Jeeps.

I still gotta get the front bumper too, so I can install my winch (that just sits in its box at the house)...ugh

Just so much to do and not sure what I want to do with any of it...

Please help me... :banghead:

one thing to keep in mind... If you use the stock wheel, you'll need to get 1.5" spacers. Knowing that, I decided to go ahead and get wheels with proper back spacing instead. And of course that meant I could chose a different size instead of 17". Because of this, and the fact that the 16" KM2's are readily available, I opted to buy inexpensive 16" steelies with my KM2's.

Just keep in mind the cost of spacers while making your decision.

I have 285/70/17s basically 33"x10.5 and I can say I wish I would have gone wider. Next time I get rubber I'm going with 12.50

well if your looking for some pics. these are 34x10.50 super swamper LTBs on 17" stock wheels. so it will give you a good idea of what you'll see with the 35x10.50s.
but no spacers on mine since i sold them to ..... you Laughing

they rub on the lower front control arms and sway bar at full turn. i've had no issues running "skinny" tires. i dont think they look bad. and with spacers, they should look even better. hope this helps. btw they rock!!! :fightingvehicl

and from the front

and from the back
