| So I've been expecting a package from the great ol' USPS, but recently it has shown up as 'Forwarded'. I figured it just meant that it was forwarded to the local Post Office since someone decided to burn down my apartments mailboxes. Well, I go to the post office and give them the print out of the tracking information and they say that my mail is being forwarded to a different address. Well, I never requested my mail to be forwarded anywhere else and they didn't have my package. I told them I never requested my mail to be forwarded to any address. They took my number and said they would call me, but is there anything I can do in the mean time to stop my mail from being forwarded? Or anything I should do in a situation like this?
TL;DR: Some a$$hole is forwarding my mail somewhere else |

| i might be a mistake too...especially living in an apt. complex
Maybe someone w/an apt # similar to yours applied to have his mail forwarded and the USPS worker switched some numbers around
ie. apt 32 and she put down apt 23 or something like that |

| OMG How did you know my apt number?!
JK, but seriously, you're probably right. People move out of that place sooooo often. I just want my damn camera and iPhone parts lol. They can keep the rest of the mail. |

| Talk to the Postmaster at your station. Find out what happened. If it was a mistake be sure to get it in writing. If someone did it to steal you ID, get everything documented in case you need it in court or to prove your case. |

| I went in and talked to one of the individuals working and it turns out her husband is my mail man. So she took my number, name and address and gave it to her husband. Turns out there was a different mail man running his route since he was out for a week and didn't know what to do with the mail since the mailboxes burned down. Needless to say I have gotten 1 of the 2 packages so far. |
