Hey now that I have a jeep again I really need to test it's articulation, can't make it to katemcy this weekend because unfortunately I have a large close knit family and we support eachother. Kenny and others have claimed a decent wheeling spot near aransas pass. Post up your favorite past or present place to wheel and let me know what your schedule allows. I work mon-fri 8-6 so any evening wheeling is fine with me. I can't be the only Jeeper in corpus who's down for a little after work wheelin...

there is a fairly nice spot outside of Portland, good climbing, and there are a couple of us here in town that are always willing for a little evening romp around. It is sorta trashy. a bunch of people go out there and shoot at crap and wind up just leaving their trash. Also some local auto shops dump their tires there, just a heads up. But if there is any mud it becomes hella fun. Hit me up 361 633 9004.

Sounds good, a jf member is headin to port A for the 4th of July I told him I thought there might be a place near aransas pass. But if you could show it to me sometime that would be great, even better to get a small group together for a planned day off or evening like you said. When's good for you?

Its like less than a mile from the ferry. If your headed towards the ferry it will be on your right. A little cut people have made through to access it. no intersection, no road name. I could take you right to it, just cant explain how to get to it. I had it marked on my GPS but the first time I was out there with GCP, well it wasnt very pretty and I was topless, needles to say my GPS no longer works. Im headed down there for a day in a couple of weeks. If you havnt found it Ill show you. If you have found it ill meet you there for some wheeling. Its an awsome spot.

| It looks like there will only be scattered thunderstorms in Corpus???? Irritating. Anyway, brown and Root, if you have not been is alot of fun when dry. If its muddy, I would tread very lightly. That place will swallow your jeep whole. Ask Andy (Gilly_as), he has a nice first hand acount. It took 3 jeeps and full size pick up to pull him out. So i would hold off on that one. The Volcano that I mentioned above is a good climbing spot, lots of mud if it rains, and generally alot of grip for easy recovery. I'm putting a set of 4.88 gears in this next weekend so my rig is out for at least 500 miles. But i can go, and put you in contact with a lot of guys that will ride along and spot because i know where the dangerously deep holes are. Just shoot me a text, 3616339004.
