| http://www.jk-forum.com/showthread.php?144782-Fuel-Overflow-amp-NHTSA-About-Time Above is info on the fuel overflow problem with some JKs. If you are experiencing this problem, please file a complaint, it takes 5 mins and there is a link in the above linked thread to file the complaint. The more complaints filed, the sooner we may be able to get this resolved. Mine started at approx 31,000-32,000 miles. For some of ya............it's just a matter of time, or mileage, should I write. With the price of gas these days, each time I fill up now, regardless of how hard I try to "baby" the nozzle, or not fill up all the way, or cross my fingers, etc... I loose a good gallon or two; u do the math. It's literally regurgitating fuel, big freaking baby,................................the jeep, not me! |

| I have started to experience it with my TJ. Started the last 60 days - 38K miles. Don't see how or why mileage would be an effect.
No matter how slowly or carefully I fill the tank - it always backs up, usually on my boot. So what is the cause? |

I would not be surprised, Stacy, if you woke up one day to see Chrysler taking back your jeep. |

| Wyatt Arp Dodge in Seguin is now a Jeep dealer. My company spends lots-o-money with them. I am working on having a dealer that is "mod" friendly. I have spoken to some of their people, and they seem very receptive. |

| Its a Jeep thing.
My old JK was the only Jeep I ever owned that did not do this. My current TJ does it some, but most ALL of the CJ's did this. |

| Just thought I'd share this
http://jkowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46202
Chrysler has released a service bulletin about the fuel spill issue in some 2007 - 2008 JK's. They have extended the warranty on the inlet check valve. If you have this issue you get a free gas tank, if you have paid to have it fixed you can be re-imbursed for the repair. Submit your receipts directly to Chrysler. The extended warranty will show up on a VIP report if your vehicle is covered. The service bulletin is 14-001-11. Build date restrictions apply.
Service Bulletin # 14-001-11, dated February 11, 2011. Fuel Spit Back During Refueling (Unlimited Time and Mileage Warranty Extension)
Models: 2007 - 2008 Note: This Extended Warranty Bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with 3.8L engine (sales code EGT) built between March 1, 2007 March 31, 2008.
Repair Procedure: Replace the fuel tank.
