PostSubject: Limb Riser's for my XJ   Mon 22 Nov 2010, 8:43 pm

Ok, i got bored sitting here at the house, so I made some Limb Riser's for my XJ. In the 1st pic you can see where the tree limbs scared the molding and scratched the 20 year old paint. Not anymore!

As you can see my XJ is pretty dirty. I haven't driving poor Trigger since I broke an axle at Clines. Still can't help doing little things to it here and there. weldor

BTW, Jon (jonsjeep) does a mobile oil change service. Very reasonable and he comes to you.

do u wheel in thick wooded areas alot?
I grew up in the swamp so i just have a couple questions for ya..

if a good size limb slides up them puppies ..whats gonna happen to all them baja racing lights?

and

what will the damage be to the fenders and roof rack when u snag something that DOESN'T move ??

There was a guy in my old jeep club when i lived over East that had some on an ol CJ .. he caught a branch cuisin down the trail with one of them.. not pretty..

things to consider..
just be cautious when wheeling with em..
.. they look neat though..

As you can see them in the pic, they are spring loaded just for that reason. We're not racing thru the trees they just help push the branches up and keep them from rubbing on everything. As for the lights, the cables tie in at the very top. They are for branches smaller than 2" diameter. Anything larger you're going to avoid all together!
