| i'm abusing my mod powers and making this an anouncment and stickying it................if you think that is inappropriate.......you know where you can shove it.................. anyhow............. i had a very nice conversation with the folks at the concesion stand and then a little later with randy and shain, about the park and the owners of the place.... what it boils down to is the owners have cursed the granite for as long as the property has been thiers, it has made all of thier ranching operations harder. They just cant believe us wheelers. randy said they (the owners) are Very worried/concerned that we wont like the rocks and trails and won't be back!!! SO.........i am asking everyone who has been out to the park to take 5 minutes out of your busy day(no matter how busy you are ,you have time to do this) and send a thank you letter to the owners of the park........randy or shain will get them the letters if you email it to them here are thier email addys Randy Kruseemail: randykruse@verizon.net Shain Chapman email: chapmanlaw@verizon.net_________________ ITS HIP TO BE SQUARE [embed-flash(width,height)] |

| Yeah- we stopped by and talked to them on our way off the trail Saturday. They said they have owned that land for 36 years and never imagined it could be something anyone would enjoy playing on, let alone playing on with cars! LOL They are really nice people. I'll be sure to send them a thank you _________________ http://www.n2rock.com http://www.youtube.com/N2rock |

| DONE. Shain is an awesome dude. He took us around the park for the first part of the day and did a great job spotting me through some tight stuff.
Thank you K2!! |

| Geo....do you know the names of the owners so that we can address our note straight to them rather than saying "please tell the owners this place is awesome" |

| I got a chance to talk to them (the owners) about it in real-time Sunday evening. I plan to draft up and send a letter to them as well.
I really hope there were few enough shitheads causing problems and that they feel justly compensated so that they'll keep the park open for many years to come. Maybe they'll even one day open it up to small groups rather than only on the big organized crawls. Either way, I had a great time, flop and all, and I feel I'll be ready and more willing to try the harder stuff next time!
PS It was great wheeling with all of you. Seriously. |

| Took the TJ there last year, so I sent them a thank you and begged them to keep it open.
Great idea, sorry I missed this one, family obligations, would love to get the new JK up there when it gets a tad cooler, speaking of rocks, I just purchased some new synthetic winch line, looking for the best protection for my LCAs but the more money I can keep, the better.
Any ideas? |
