So there's an '06 LJ Rubi a guy's working on putting a 6.1L hemi in, about 7700 miles, and he's thinking about selling the 241 out of it to replace it with an Atlas II due to transmission and TC spacing, mounting, and crossmember issues with the new engine. It's the guy who made my headlight and offroad light wiring loom, a good guy I've done business with before.

Anyway, so he's asking $1k firm. I'm thinking it's worth it. Davey's Jeep is selling them for $1500 ($1200 plus $300 shipping), and I can't seem to find them locally. I've wanted the 4.1 crawl ratio ever since I first tried to inch my way up stuff, especially with the 6-speed. It's something I'd like to do eventually.

The money's tight, but I think I can swing it. Is it worth it, in the end?

Well, I did it. I'm stretching it across two $500 payments to afford it (well, to afford it AND still be able to write George a big ol' check in two weeks). He just pulled it today and sent a couple of pics. He's leaving the linkage attached, which is nice because then I don't have to bend/shorten/replace any of it. Should be damn near 100% bolt-on other than the 4WD indicator light, and I've already ordered the different switch a wiring pigtail to make that happen.
