some have expressed interest in the trailer in my avatar. I found this trailer in the local classifieds paper and bought it and swapped out axles to get the same hub pattern as my jeep. I then painted it black and have since added some Mr Gasket tie down rails that I found at O Reilly's. they are really pimp in that you can add more tie down hooks and slide the hooks on the rail where ever you need them. the box is 6' long and they make these rails for pickups so a a 6' section fit perfect. they worked out really great when I packed it for Big bend a couple weeks ago. I made new fenders and raised them up to help clear my 33s on it and added factory jeep taillights. that is about it, any other questions just ask.

how I got it:

as it sits now:

they seem to all go for $750-1000 regardless of condition it seems. mines a little rough nut had no major rust, just surface rust. even came with a military tarp and a reciever pintle. found it in Bayside and practically stole it. he was asking $600 and said he had advertised it before with no takers, anyways $450 took the trailer, the hitch and the tarp home.

I forgot to mention that I swapped the springs and shackles when I did the axle. it was leaning to one side and had the C style shackles on it. if anyone is doing a swap on these trailers the springs are the same as CJ3 front spring and the shackles are the same as well. I used a plate style shackle and some Rancho springs that are supposed to lift a CJ3 1.5" I think. the old spring pack was probably 7-10 leaves thick and the new one is like 4 leaves. I also used shocks for the front of a CJ3.
