I'm getting a CO2 tank and would like to know where I can get it filled around the Katy/Cypress area? I know welding supply shops and paint ball
stores but, I would like a place that will fill it on the spot and not
make me drop the bottle and pick it up later or only does a bottle
exchange.

Out in Richmond/Rosenberg is AOC http://www.aoctx.com/ This is the place that all the other shops go to for tank refills (its a big operation). So you can walk in and they will do it on the spot. I do that all the time. $10 for a 10 gallon tank. And they have it ready in minutes.

When I got my CO2, I called all over the place. And every place was the same- drop it off and pick it up a week later, or exchange. AOC was the only place I found that did the filling on site. Lucky for me they are only 10 minutes from me.

Maybe I'll just start a refill service for y'all- bring your tanks to my place in the evening (on a week I plan on re-filling mine). And I'll take them all at once on my lunch break. Not only does that save you guys the hassle of trying to get out there during the day on a weekday (they don't do refills on the weekends fyi), but also gives me a chance to visit with you guys.

I found that Airgas off Hempstead just past Gessner will fill the 10lb tank for $10ish while I wait. Thanks for the offer Steve. We might come visit just to shoot the s&*% with you when bannana axle gets his heap back on the road.

I found an AOC location not too far from me at Chimney Rock near Bellaire. They filled my 20oz canister quickly on the spot and it only cost me $5.49 with tax.
