Looks like a winner to me! Its crazy makin' parts for a new rig. I do it all the time, but my rig is 36yrs. old! If I had one like yours I would do this mod as preventative maintenance. Sucks being stranded. I bet the shaft is metric, that is why he has to grind and drill to strange dimensions. I bet that on a toyota or another foreign rig there is the exact bushing. I don't spend enough time working on those to know for sure.

In my opinion....I would do a lot of grinding / drilling before putting a toyota part on my Jeep!! (it could make the throttle stick...lol)

Thanks for taking a look at the write up Randy. I'm having the dealership put the "kit" on this week. I appreciate your time and input. Rik, a fellow jeeper from CA is who designed this, and while he will admit, it is by no means a PERMANENT fix, just much more reliable than what we JKrs have now. Also, my service advisor had mentioned he thought he had heard of an aftermarket company coming out with something. I see that someone has already brought this to the attention to Joe Thompson who works for Teraflex and he was going to mention it to R&D. I might email Joe and just see where they are at on this ideal.

See you at Hooters, if not before.

If anybody is looking to fix it before or after it breaks let me know. I can make the bushings for you.
