| This is all third person, and I don't know anyone you, you might know more than I do (Highly likely) ..... BUT, I understand there have been trouble with this park for a "club" run, anyone read over on Loan Star Jeep Club? I understand that 1 representative with LSJC was asked to sign a ridicules liability waver that covered everyone in the park? The waver made that one person financially liable for everyone in the park, even for those not in/with the club.
CTOR got around this by not contacting the park. park did not know we were a club, we each signed the waver as individuals, not as a club. we did not want 1 rep from our club responsible for the whole park. but we only had 12 rigs, not as many as LSJC or even JN might roll out.
i understand (hearsay) LSJC won't go back to Gilmer.
I suggest contacting LSJC and getting the whole story for the horse before contacting the park.
my $0.02
park is great, and the people running the gate are nice, and I hope JN goes, but I would hate to get out there, and one of you be asked to sign a waver like that. |

| If it came down to that I'll sign! I don't care none of what the contract states will hold up in court, I know! I had a paralegal read over it for me. I'll sign! _________________ If you can't play with the big dogs then get off the porch! | Mr.RonGilbert wrote: | | It's like when you hear a fire truck with it's sirens full blast.... you just have to take a look at what is getting flamed..... |

| i read the whole thread. then read over the contract and rules.
basically from what they both say is, if you have an event you must leave the park in same condition it was in before you got there. the sponsor (JN) is responsible for destruction of property UNLESS you have a waiver signed by the participants of the event.
but we would have a waiver for everyone to sign basically releasing the BMRA, TMTC, & Jeep Nation from any liability for accidents or destruction of property.
Every park pretty much has a waiver of some sort. the contract is just a way to release TMTC & BMRA from liability. Unless the contract they asked LSJC is different from the contract on the website. _________________ 08 4 door....BANANAMAN yellow round tires.... some stuff added.... more stuff wanted.... even more stuff needed /I _I_,[____], L-I_I_I -OIIIIIIO- ()_)....()_) ... this is what I understood, 1 to cover all, no individual... I may have misunderstood/spoken out of turn. |

| it's the same contract... from what I understand the problem was the way the contract states things. the only way I can explain it is with an example.
here is how it kinda reads.
OK lets say we have TSJM there and some random person not associated with TSJM comes to the park, they loose control of their buggy and it plows down say the office, if the guy who did it does not come forward and says he did and no one saw him do it they will assume that some one with TSJM did it and will hold them responsable. so TSJM will have to pay for damages.
Well Lone star said FU to that we are not going to be held countable if someone we don't know or didn't invite shows up and damages something.
But come on what are the odds of that happening? I am sure if something like that happened there would be someone who say it and the right person would be held accountable.
Lone Star just threw a fit about it, for no reason!
Like I said I'll sign it! _________________ If you can't play with the big dogs then get off the porch! | Mr.RonGilbert wrote: | | It's like when you hear a fire truck with it's sirens full blast.... you just have to take a look at what is getting flamed..... |

| good deal, I misread/misunderstood, I understood that if the guy (in your example) plowed into the office, and roof fell on him and he died, his family could sue you not the park. or if he killed the lady running the check in, her husband could sue you AND the driver.
if it's just property that's no big deal.
the other club i run with was asked to sign one at another park, and it read as I explained. 1 person liable in all aspects.
referring back to my original post, you guys probably know more about then I do, that appears to be so.
I'm looking forward to it for sure. |
