Nah, Joe will just forget he's up 5 ft and fall on his ass when he wakes up to take a piss.

That looks awesome, but I've always wondered how it doesn't tip over when you're on the outboard part of the tent and what holds that part of the tent up, exactly.

I like it regardless Smile

I've honestly been thinking about getting something like a used Suburban 2500 and using it as a tow and camping rig, since I should be able to fit any/all gear in it and sleep in the back, safe and sound against the elements and critters. Yours is probably a cheaper option.

As for the wind...I'm thinking that after everything is stablized and eventually get the tarps/privacy room done that will not be an issue.

As for the falling on the ass, yes that first step is a doozie and its around 6' up or more...the morning exit could be hazardous... might have to do 1 or 2 things: make sure the jet boil is in the tent prior to sleeping so I could wake up w/that 1st morning coffee and hmm, maybe just mod a window and part of the roof of the tent to be able to stand up in the tent and just piss out the window

1st my tent is older and is still in need of reinforcements

But the tents are basically held up be the tention from the tent frame...in order to make all feel safer, I will probably add some poles to the extended part of the tent and run them back to the trailer for more reinforcement.
