| Hey guys & gals! I've been extremely busy with the purchase of our first home so I have been out of the loop. The good news is we are closing on the 18th of this month!
So now that I'm actually going to have a garage I'm going to want to finally take my hardtop off! I was thinking of getting one of those hardtop hoist for the JK... anyone use on before or install one in a garage before?
Once I get settled in and install it in the house I'll try to write up a Write-up and put on the site. |

| I was hopeing to store it above my Jeep. Like back it in to take it off and store it above the hood when the jeep in parked in the garage normally. I'm planning on leaving it off most of the summer once school dismisses. |

| Matthew, Congrats on closing on your house. About the hard top hoist. I bought the "Racor Garage Ceiling Storage Rack" and put that in my garage. Actually I bought two. I am able to put my regular crap on the tray it comes with and hang my Hard Top underneath. I bought mine on Ebay for $119 a piece. Google it and I am sure you'll find it. Dutch

| Hardtop will not fit on top as it is 4' X 4'. I just used straps and a 2x4 to rest the back of the hardtop and just a strap on the front. I like it because it serves a dual purpose, with being able to put stuff on top. I am still able to walk underneath it when I load up the hard top. But i am only 5'8". and it depends on how much crap you put on the rack. I know ...... :worthless: , but I do not know how to post pics. |

| I used 5/16" threaded rod & just bent it. 3/8" might have been better, they kinda bent a little when I lifted it. Not the greatest but it works. |

I originally had mine hanging fron one strap but it wouldnt hang level & would kinda spin. :rolleyes2: thats why I changed to 4 straps. Ratchet straps in the back & cam straps in the front (they don't have to support much weight) |
