X2 on Barnwell... about the same drive as trees for us.. give or take about an hour but hell.. we live in Texas and it goes with the territory. Might be able to pull in some coonasses and Ark folks too....

Again - great job and as far as the trail leaders go, I really didnt notice anything bad about our trail leader granted I WAS in the back of the pack and had very little interaction with him - I did enjoy the fact that Thawk and Geo did about 99% of our spotting - which is fine by me. The trail leader's wife and later on his buddy rode with me when their rigs broke and I can say without hesitation that they are good folks, just like us. I bet that if Steve (trail leader) spent some more time with us he would have ran things different.

And as far as the "getting lost" thing goes I remember thinking to myself "BS" when it was said... I used the tracking function on my GPS and had every trail marked as well as the way home - no way that we would have gotten lost.... and I found my own way to the caves and back to the campsite at the end of the day... I have been in woods thicker than chit, swamp, desert, open ocean.... you name it... not gonna get lost on some Texas ranch for sure.
