| Hello Guys, I just wanted to take time to say thank you to everyone for helping make this event a big success. It takes months to pull something like this off and we could not have done it without everyone's help, even if you didn't have a particluar job just coming to this event helped it to be successful and continue to grow. I cannot list names because I would probably leave someone out. We want to thank all of our sponsors too, they provided some cool items. Some of our members also put some items into the door prizes, and FabFour offered $200.00 off bumpers.
- Brutal Offroad
- RockRash 4X4
- AirRaid
- 4 Wheel Parts
- Rock Krawler
- Off Road Trail Tools
- My Jeep Forum
- Jeep Nation
- Pronto Sign
We had 85 rigs and was able to break pretty much even with the cost. The goal for this event is to put on a a fun event but at a reaonable cost. I understand there was a few issues but I hope overall everyone had a great time. We will put out a critque sheet later on so we can hear from you. We want to know what you liked and what can make it better. Thanks Again!!! Renee |

| I wanted to thank Renee, Adam, Richard and all who made this possible. I know the work that you guys did was tremendous. The closer the event, the more scrambling you guys were doing. I know not everything was as smooth as maybe you liked, but each year you do this its going to get bigger and better which means more work. We had a blast even though i didnt see anything close to stock other than myself. I also wanted thank Bobby for the help he gave us. He was helping us spot and i even called out on the cb for him and he came down and helped us out. It was very much appreciated. We were very nervous and Bobby and the trail guides kinda settled us down just a little. Again, thanks to all.... :grouphug3: |

| I would like to thank everyone, especially Renee and anyone else (I too hate naming names since I know I will never get them all) who helped organize the event.
Thank you Johnny for letting me stay in the tent with you and your bro.
Thanks Jon for helping spot on a coupe of obstacles.
I had a blast. For basically what I would pay to spend a night at the racetrack, I got 2 days (3 if I could have stayed till sunday) full of fun and friends and having a deathgrip on a steering wheel!
I got to cook a great steak on an awesome trailer pit.
all in all, I had a great time due to EVERYONE who was there. I can't wait until the next one!!! |

| Many many thanks to everyone who put this together. The wheeling was fun, but the best part? The very best part? Seeing old friends and meeting new ones. That made the weekend for us. Ranches and trails may come and go, axles and diffs may bust and grenade, but friends are friends forever. Why else would you sit out in the early morning chill, talking with your friends in front of their hotel room, while they sit with you in their PJ's? (by the way Steve, nice Mickey Mouse pants). Why else would you tell that your wife almost puked....not AT the ranch, but on the road TO the ranch? Why else would you trust a guy from San Antonio when he tells you he has a short cut to the ranch, but is OVER the mountain, like a goat trail? Why else would you hug a guy that was so cold, and had so many clothes on from the night before, that you didnt recognize him because he looked like the camoflaged Michelin Man?? Why else would you stop and help someone, at the expense of maybe not getting to do one more trail?? I could go on, but you get the idea. Can't wait until the next get together.......... |

You nailed it dude!!!!
I was impressed when we stopped to work on T-Hawks chit - folks were standing around and I said that I was going to stay and help try and get it back on the road as did several others. Someone asked if the rest of the group wanted to go ahead and catch up with the SA group and no one left - not that they didnt want to meet up - just that they were in a group and it was all or nothing.
That was a cool moment - when I heard "we are all going to wait"
I was going to give N2 some chit for not bringing us back some sammiches but I was glad to see the 1 1/8 socket that he got on the way back. Plus the big azz adapter.

1st things 1st...I too want to say thanks to all of those that made this possible.
However, I must admit (esp. after seeing other group's pics)...I honestly feel that the "wheelin" aspect for ME could've been better.
On the other hand...It was great to see/visit others...invading Crux's & Joe's tent...lol
But hey, thats just me!
PS...Brandi's agrees. EDITED ONCE: said what I had to say, just wanted to get it out...

| First off - Thanks to everybody who made this happen, the awesome spotters & everybody who showed up. It was nice to meet everybody and see everybody's Rigs! | Quote: | | I understand there was a few issues but I hope overall everyone had a great time. I kinda agree with TxRubiRig, the wheeling wasn't what I expected from Trees Ranch. Also; the campsite was like a junkyard...metal and tires everywhere...the rest rooms were filthy....just flat out nasty. Some planned activities for the evenings would have been cool...we left saturday evening because we got bored....maybe plan some games around camp fire the next time. Dunno what to say about Fab Fours....their Bumpers are nice but way expensive...the $200 off wasn't much at all considering one of their bumpers is what, 1400 bucks? AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST: I DIDN'T GET TO BUY A TSJM STICKER!!!! I assumed that I could buy one at the event after it was said here that there would be plenty available. big bummer!!!
This is what me and my wife are thinking about this. Are we sorry we made the trip? No, it was nice to get out. |

She likes it, she likes it!!)...the nasty weather Friday night actually made it kind of fun - even though we hi-tailed it to a hotel after our tent blew over 3 times! Wheeling was fun and damage was minimal - all in all it was a great weekend. We enjoyed seeing everyone and had a fun time around the campfire Sat night! Definately looking forward to the next run! |

| well, i guess it's time i chimed in here
i went with the expectation that............
1. it was unbelievable terain to wheel 2. the facilitys (bathrooms, etc.) would be HORIBLE 3. i would totally enjoy it 4. i would get to see all my friends from down south
i came home with these beliefs
1. there was tons of stuff i would love to run on that property.......even though i only got to look at them as we drove by 2. the facilitys were two levels worse than what i expected 3. if we had been allowed to wheel with out a trail guide, we would NOT have gotten lost, we WOULD have had more fun and we WOULD have needed more trailers to take home all the broken jeeps 4 . i really enjoyed getting to see all my friends that i havent seen in months
oh well....it was worth the drive ............now to fix everything i broke
and renee , it was a great event and a good time, lets do it again next year.............ya'll really should look into barnwell mountian, its a long way from everyone except the dallas guys but is setup really well for this type of event...they have campgrounds all over the park, including secluded down in the woods, fantastic restrooms/showers/ a large pavillion for the event stuff to go on at ........even a rock garden by the pavilion .............i can see timed rock races with prizes _________________ ITS HIP TO BE SQUARE [embed-flash(width,height)] |

| Just wanted to say "A Big Thank You!!!!" to everybody that helped pull this event together. My buddy and I, haven't been on an adventure like that in well about 8 years. He just moved back into town, and it seemed like the prefect opportunity. We had a blast!!!!! Even though we blew the tranny on the tow rig on the way up there Sat morning, missed hooking up with you guys till afterwards, and still didn't get to meet G, Jenny, and the other Houston foke. It was great. We had to split early Sat nite because we didn't know how far we could get with only 3rd gear. We couldn't even reverse to pull out of the ranch, we had to ask a fellow Jeeper to pull us back enough to pull out, (thanks again man!!!!). We still had a great time and will plan on staying the night next time. Can't wait till the next trip, and I'll put the vids up soon. |

| I just wanted to say that I personally had an awesome time. Our trail guide for the beginner / intermediate group could not have been better. He was patient, experienced and pushed us to see what our jeeps could do. I've been to spring creek many times, but this was my first true trail / rock run and it really was great. Everyone I met was friendly and nice and really made it worthwhile.
I do think the campsite could be improved, or at least some allowance for camping down on the trails. This time of year the wind and cold is too unpredictable, and a flat open plateau just wasn't what I expected in going to "Trees" ranch. We headed out Saturday night to avoid another one like Friday but even that didn't detract too much from a great weekend.
Thank you Renee and to everyone who helped put this together. |
