Cool, yesterday I went out with a few friends, there is this road right across the highway from the entrance to Mustang Island Statepark, I think it's a paddle boat/kayak? road/trail? Well its just really muddy and we drove through there it was pretty fun.

So today I got a phone call again from Desert Rat, so apparently the TrXus MTs are on back order also! DOH!!! So the guy works me out a deal I guess and now I'm getting 33x12.50 Mickey Thompson MTZs. I am happy, they ship out tomorrow morning.

that road has some deep holes! I went out there a few months ago, drove in a ways and turned back. Figured I'd go again when there would be another 4 wheeler.

Nice! I like the JK, I tell myself that someday I will own one. Yeah I'm really looking forward to those tires. Last night I went for a little cruise down by the NAS here by the school, and I found...three guys from Nepal stuck up to the doors in a pathfinder. Pulled them out, twice...then headed a bit farther down and found a stuck ridgeline, but some guy in an FJ got to him before I did.

Was a pretty eventful afternoon I would say.

And btw that road has some very deep holes, I smacked the front end of the heep into one of them and bent my bumper.

man that sux! I miss all the fun. I go down there all the time and never see anybody stuck. Just tracks and ruts. I usually toss a few lures in the afternoons across from the college.

PostSubject: Re: New from Corpus   Sat 20 Feb 2010, 3:17 am

I went out wheeling today with one of my friends in his stock zj with the 318 in it. He got stuck trying to impress a girl, and I proceeded to try to get him out. My little XJ pulled and pulled, but to no avail. When I stopped I noticed that his ZJ was smoking. I ran up and then I saw it...oil running out all over the ground into puddles. So his ZJ is still out there right now, with its nose still stuck in the mud.

So we pack up to leave, so we can go back tomorrow, I needed to drive through water. Halfway through this pond looking thing, my XJ shuts off. I mean right in the friggin middle. So after six hours, cranking, cleaning out sensors and wire connections, and having the battery drain down to right below 12 volts the Jeep finally comes through.

It didn't want to start, and after pumping it she came to a slow life. At first shaking, sputtering, then she coughed up a bunch of water. After letting her run for a minute or two I made it out, then we ate burgers. So tomorrow sometime I need to go back and try to get his heep.

Stuff to add to the list:

Snorkel!!!!

PostSubject: Re: New from Corpus   Sat 20 Feb 2010, 3:21 am

I'm so glad that my Jeep didn't hydrolock or through a rod. As for my friends ZJ, we can't really tell what happened since it's still sitting in the mud. I'm hoping he didn't through a rod, maybe just the oil pan? or tranny line?

Oh and also while trying FTL, after telling my friend not to use a certain strap, it snapped and flew at my heep, smacking into the rear hatch. Now there is a huge dent in it, and it doesn't open. FML today was a fail.

But it's all good, thanks for reading my rant.

Hey Kenny,

We finally got his Jeep out that Saturday, it's still out at the island though in a parking lot.

I'm going home tomorrow morning and I'll be back on Sunday morning.

BTW, I just changed my TPS and spark plugs. The Jeep is running great!!!
