PostSubject: Greetings from Houston   Sat 06 Feb 2010, 12:59 pm

Hello everybody, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Robert (I go by MrOrange on jeepforum.com). I switched my username because Mr. Orange sounds too serious and I'm not sure how many people are catching the Reservoir Dogs reference. I drive an 09 Sunburst Orange Unlimited X with half doors. This is my first OHV and I absolutely love this thing. I've got a lot of plans for my Jeep, it's just a "champagne dreams on a beer budget" situation. I'm currently located inside the Loop near the Galleria but we're hoping to get a place in East Downtown soon. I don't have any offroad experience but I'm hoping to make it out to TSJM. My wife and I like to camp. I'm trying to get some of the cheaper things done in time (wheels/tires; budget suspension lift; step rails for the wife; tow hooks) and I definitely want to try and tag along to any runs to Spring Creek so I can cut my teeth somewhere local.

The Creek is closed...will let you know when we go to BVORR in College Station. Might have to set that orange Jeep on fire though.

Aww, damnit! I had no idea they were shutting down Spring Creek. If I had known that, I would have made it out there at least once. Houston is so flat to begin with, there's just no where to legally wheel around here. I'll definitely keep my eye out for any BVORR runs. I'll have to just cover the Jeep in mud so I don't have to worry about the torches.
