Well that's the idea anyway. I dont have any real plans other than 116" WB and a tube bed that will fit my 06 YZF R6 with the tail gate down. I currently have a D60 FF Rear and im looking for a front so i'll be getting rid of my d30 4.56 open Front and super 35 4.56 detroit rear. Some cheap H2 Wheels to get started and maybe some 35 firestone destination m/ts for the street. Yes it will be daily driven. Here's the tear down so far.... I will be running the larger half cab from brute or gr8tops so the roll cage will be re done to fit and go through body and tie into the bed. Used the side rails to form the top rail for the bulk head where the new top will bolt. Pretty easy Ill be getting some fresh sheet metal to form around the corners and fill the old comp cut.

Thanks, If i can get some sun i have plenty to keep my busy for now. It seems to rain on my days off lately leaving me stuck inside. I finally came to realize i needed to crack down and swap the axles. This is where the direction of the build plans began to change. Might as well build the rest of the jeep while its under the knife. So i parked it and began to add to my tool collection with the purchase of a millermatic vintage w/ co2, oxy acetylene torch... Scored all of that from some dude on craigslist for 200 bucks and the tanks were full! Also purchased... A JD Model 32 bender with 1 3/4" die...pics coming soon Harbor Freight Tube knotcher and some of the other standard items like First project to get a feel for the bender tube fenders and doors, then i'll give the cage and bed a go.

| looks like you're building a shop out there ! just wondering, did you get the hydro or manual version? if its the manual one, are you going to gusset the base of the stand to the shaft with triangles to keep from ripping it from the base? damn i wish we had the same days off _________________ 08 4 door....BANANAMAN yellow round tires.... some stuff added.... more stuff wanted.... even more stuff needed

I went with the manual set up for now to save some $$. 395.00 plus 35.98 for shipping, to my door for 430.98. The 1 3/4" Die was another 300.00 alone. I intend to get quite a bit of use out of it. I'll will eventually add the hydo later but for now this will suffice. And yes some gussets for good measure.

I have had my eyes on craigslist for about a year now when i came across my Dana 60. Luckily I don't think the guy knew what it was or he would have asked for more. You just have to be quick as they don't last long. I have seen several from a guy located on Shepard Rd in San Antonio but they need to be rebuilt. I've seen them on ebay as well but I have no idea what shipping would be like.

Are you going to build it with zero departure angle, or are you going to keep an extended bed on it more like an MJ?
