(Ham Radio) It gives me one more way to communicate out in the field. You just never know when an emergency could happen and I never can get service with my cell phone on the trail. It is also more fun to talk with locally than the CB. I can use a repeater and easily go 40-50 miles out. It has 50 watts of power so it's not bad for a mobile. I also have NOAA weather.
