Ok, so I was loading pics of the Jeep Friday and I cam across this one...

But what I saw was this...

I decided that Like all things, the 70's mustach had gone the way of the dodo, and a LITTLE trimming was in order. (Read "I was tired of packing")

No turning back now...

WELL... Waddya think?

Hi all,

so Michael put some fog lights on as well as some new black headlight bezels. Here, take a look.

Also, we put on some mirror relocation brackets, but we are not sure the mirror is on right.

On our 2000 TJ, the bottom part of the mirror has three little bumps that keep the light straight. But on the new bracket, there is no place for the bumps. See pic:

The bracket came with a tube spacer and one washer, which we put on the bottom. Is this right?

The three bumps ...

My neighbor (JK owner) and I are building rock sliders for my Jeep. I am giving him my Jeep step tubes for his assistance. He has a welder and metal chop saw. I could have just taken them to my school to weld but he wanted to help for the swap. He used to weld fence pipe so his skills are much better than mine. We also had a lot of fun putting our heads together building these sliders. I wanted 2x4 tubing but settled on 3" square because they had too light of steel for the purpose at the ...

Instead of practicing on some scrap stuff I did this. It will be used regularly (unless it breaks).

If you can tell from this picture what I need to do different let me know. I think I had the wire speed to fast and too hot.

I put the winch into action and broke one of the welds and bent the plate. I stopped the pull before anything bad happened but thought I might share my experience so someone else can build a better mousetrap. Back to the drawing board for some reinforcement.
Hi all,

So I've been looking to buy some new black rims, but being a poor person, I decided to paint mine. My son did most of the work. (90%)

We did two at a time as that's all the jacks I had.

After the wheels were off, the first step was to go over them with a 3" wire brush.

Followed by a once over with some 320 grit sand paper to get any rough parts off.

Then we cleaned them off with some paint thinner and a rag.

Now that they are ready, we tapped off ...
