Got the court document from a JKO post. Looks like they get to keep their 290 location, but every other location, and their financial holdings co. are getting the axe.

San Antonio came off well. Looks like Fiesta Auto Center is the only one on the chopping block.

Ahh, looks like I got it wrong - even the 290 location is going.. note the 'DBA Jim Archer Chrysler Jeep' on Northwest Freeway.

yep... obama, where's my bail out Smile :soldier:

we are fighting it though. we are a VERY big tax revenue source for leon valley. not to mention a 20+ year dealership and always top ranked for volume and customer ratings.

we are shocked that only 1 dodge dealer was closed in the area.

ok- so that is the list of dealers being chopped, right?

if so, the dealer by me (Finnegan) is not being chopped. And as far as I know, Finnegan is wheeler and lift friendly

Yes, those are the dealerships Chrysler has informed the court they wish to close.

I wonder how Finnegan stayed off the chopping block? Maybe they have lower overhead costs since they are in Rosenberg.

Yes they are, and they have good customer service. I used to drive all the way down there when I lived in West U for service / warranty, which illustrates how how I feel about Helfmann lol.

I've been completely happy with their service.

But with Archer SW and Archer Katy closing, that makes Finnegan the only one in this area. Hopefully the lack of competition does not mean Finnegan will change their wheeler friendliness.

The whole thing f'en sucks... I was glad to see that my hometown dealership is not getting the axe. I talked to the dude that sold me mine and he said that Jeep was the main moneymaker for the dealership. He said that there is no doubt in his mind that Jeep will land on it's feet (wheels) when the whole thing is over. It is it's own market and no other vehicle comes close (don't even think about FJ or Exterra!!). He worked at the Jeep dealership (Champion) at 45 and Beltway 8 and it was one of the first to get the axe.....

So I guess today was D-Day. What happened with Fiesta? Are they closing? What is happening to their vehicles?

I went and got an oil change at my dealership in Baytown and asked what the deal was (they are on the list) they have been told to sit tight and that it not for sure that they are going to close. I am hoping so, they are mod friendly and just a few miles from the house.
